Hellooooo Group,

I am in an argument and need to the answer to this question: Where do
George's Parents live?

Secondary questions: Where do Jerry's parents live? If George's
parents lived in Florida, how long did they reside there?

If someone could provide answers to the above questions, I would be
greatly appreciative!

For a more specific location, my recollection is that Mr. Costanza's
address (Flushing, Queens, sticks in my mind, but I wouldn't bet the
bank on it) appears on the TV Guide that Elaine looks at when she sees
Al Roker himself sitting across from her on the subway, Elaine noticing
that he's on the cover -- whatever that episode was called ("The Cigar
Store Indian," maybe?)

"Well, you can't give someone something and then take it back . . . ."

"You mean . . . like an Indian-giver?"

"I'm sorry, I'm not familiar with that term."

George's parents lived in Queens. They moved to the Seinfeld parents' condo
community (Del Boca Vista) in Florida for a very short time (couple of
days?) then moved back home to Queens because Frank saw someone (Jerry) had
slept in his cadillac. He coulda been urinatin' in there!

Jerry's parents lived in two different south Atlantic coast Florida
retirement communities - The Pines of Mar Gables (they left because Morty
was impeached as condo board president on the false accusation of
embezzlement because he drove a cadillac and went to dinner after the early
bird), then Del Boca Vista. These are presumably in a south Florida
Atlantic coast beach community. In an early episode Morty gives Jerry
driving directions to go scuba diving and discusses Collins Avenue, the main
drag in Miami Beach. When Jerry buys back the cadillac from Jack Klompus,
the map shows he flies to south Atlantic coast of Florida. In between
living in the two different Florida condos, Jerry's parents stayed very
briefly with Uncle Leo and Jerry in New York, reducing the buffer zone.

Excellent! Correct on all points.
Frank was born in Tuscany, I wonder, at what age did he come to America?

And I believe it was Phase II. There are many condos/HOAs that wind up
with supplemental names in their documents like that.

All of the condo episodes were at once both hilarious and extremely
uncomfortable as I lived in a condo on the south Atlantic coast of
Florida, and I knew all of those people. I was president, too,
although I wasn't impeached. I ran against common sense and a guy in a
wheelchair (seriously, I was president).

diving and discusses Collins Avenue,
I remember Collins Avenue being discussed at one point, but didn't the
instructions for the scuba diving involve going south on I-95 and then
having to stay in the left lane at the merge (of US-1--can't remember
if he explicitly said that)? I grew up in South Florida and was
picturing the route as he was describing it.

That's also a hard way to get to Pennekamp, if that was where they
were diving (where else?).

Yes, Pines of Mar Gables Phase II, and then Del Boca Vista, Phase III.

The best part of those episodes was the religious following of rules and
reporting of rule-breakers, which of course is a stereotype of some people
who live in such communities, but for the types of people it portrays, a
funny and accurate portrayal. Kramer had to drop out of the Del Boca Vista
condo board election because he broke a rule of walking barefoot in the
clubhouse.

My Dad is in his upper 60s. He has visited folks in such south Florida
communities and confirms this type of behavior. He once had a posse of
alter-cockers practically on his car for going reverse in a parking lot at
their condo (just a few feet - it's a parking lot), because, IT IS AGAINST
THE RULES.
